His Servants Ministries El Salvador started taking place in San Salvador City in 2016. These HSM trips are one week long in duration and typically take place around the last week of March, beginning of April.  Our mission is to offer free Eye Care under the lead of Dr. George Rooney and student volunteers from the Indiana University School of Optometry.  The services provided are: general eye health and wellness checks, distribution of necessary eye medication, and providing readers and prescription glasses.

Our clinics have been taking place at different locations thru out the country, with the first two years on the Mission To El Salvador premises.  On each of these trips the schedule was four days in San Salvador and one day in Chalchuapa – it takes a 2hrs drive to get to this Department from the San Salvador. The third year we were located at Zaragoza, La Libertad – which its about a 45min drive from our starting point in Santa Elena – and the fourth year the Eye Care Clinic took place in Lourdes, Colon – a 50min drive away.

Everything was already planned and ready to be back at this same location on 2020, but unfortunately this could not be possible due to COVID-19 circumstances.  We have been blessed to work each year with different groups who are willing to open their doors to His Servants Ministries needs.  This is the list of our Mission Partners thru the years: Mission To El Salvador (2016/2017), Alcaldia Municipal de Zaragoza (2018) and Alcaldia Municipal de Lourdes (2019/2020).

Our main goal is to share the gospel while the clinic is taking place and just allow The Lord to touch as many hearts as possible.  We have been witnesses of life changes not only for the smiles that patients have when they are able to see but for their joy to know that now they can be called a Child of God!
