We have been so saddened by this year 2020 and the Covid 19 pandemic. We at HSM have been so used to traveling, to visit our friends in other countries, and help the locals there with their healthcare needs, that not getting to do that magnified our determination to go back. The world wants to call this the “New Normal”. I want to dispute that, normal for us should be going wherever God calls us, to use our talents and skills to help others. Those at HSM that have ties to Kenya and Bishop Chege’s ministry there are looking forward to a new day, when airline flights are organized again, and governments want medical missionaries to come. We want to care for people, we want to give our testimonies, we want to be an example, and hey we also want to see lions again. Something about Christians, we are taught to love Lions.

 

Anyway, cannot wait to go back, looking forward to going in 2021 sometime. Our likely first trip will just be a handful of us to go and search out the land, make sure that our connections are still in place and the government would want us their. So keep praying for us, as God works in the nation of Kenya and through Bishop Chege. This time has been very hard for him, with his churches closed. Pray for him and all the Pastors that work with him. We are always trying to get funds to their ministries, since they have been unable to meet. People’s physical needs go on, we pray that they are being met. Someday when this pandemic is over we hope you will join us to go meet some Lions, and maybe see a few real lions also.
